Connections Pastor

We’re looking for a person with a mix of administrative and leadership capabilities combined with initiative, creativity, vision, and work ethic. The Connections Pastor will serve as the primary leader over First Impressions, Next Steps/Growth Track, and our Volunteer Teams. The Connections Pastor will also work alongside the Lead Pastor in serving as a general pastoral leader within our church community.


  • Fully aligned with the mission, vision, and values of Weston
  • A calling to pastoral ministry and servant leadership
  • Strong preaching and teaching skills (please provide links/samples)
  • Display a spiritual maturity, character, and lifestyle in accordance with ministry leadership.
  • A proven ability to build and lead volunteer teams
  • Ability to assess, develop, and lead discipleship and connection initiatives


  • Previous ministry experience in related areas preferred
  • Leadership experience in either ministry or marketplace setting
  • Bible College degree is preferred.
  • Credentialed with the C.A.O.G. or P.A.O.C (or willingness to pursue)


  • Strong verbal/written communication skills in both a public preaching/teaching role and in interpersonal relationships in a team setting.
  • Ability to recruit, envision, equip, and lead volunteers
  • Strong leadership skills, relating to vision and strategy
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills relating to systems and strategies
  • Ability to Preach/Teach
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to respond with innovative ideas


  • Support and help execute the vision of the Lead Pastor
  • Assist the Lead Pastor in the overall leadership of Weston, ensuring the weekend experience is executed with excellence
  • Create systems and processes that further the church’s ministry objectives
  • Develop strong intake systems that ensure a successful assimilation experience for new people 
  • Develop a holistic next steps strategy/growth track
  • Develop servant leaders and implement an infrastructure of cultural expectations
  • Align the ministries and departments of the church around the church’s core vision
  • Implement and Maintain the spirit of Weston while creating some intentional systems to handle the growth and expansion of Weston (Connect Groups)
  • Participate in pastoral duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor
